Videocon is in negotiation with Japanese majors Mitsui and Hitachi to set up a logistics company in a joint venture for supporting its retail operations

Spice Energy, is planning to raise USD 300 to 400 million from global depository receipts (GDR) issue by the second week of August The proposed GDRs will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and the issue proceeds will be used for setting up its 1,000 megawatt (mw) thermal power plant in Tamil Nadu.

Ranbaxy selling adulterated medicines in US market

The US government has placed serious allegations against Ranbaxy Laboratories

The US department of justice (DoJ) has said there are evidences which suggest that Ranbaxy used active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) from unapproved sources, blended unapproved API with approved API, and used less-than-approved API at its Paonta Sahib (Himachal Pradesh) plant in its drugs. Using this, the company has sold subpotent, super potent or adulterated medicines in the US market.

APIs are raw materials used for manufacturing medicine.

The DoJ also said contrary to the stipulation of manufacturers using approved sites, evidence suggests that Ranbaxy manufactures products at other plants and obtains API from unapproved sources.
Era Infra Engineering has bagged order from Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) worth Rs 955 million approximately.
